ASHRAE Mississippi Valley Chapter Annual Scholarship www.ashrae.org/students/page/704/ A $1000 one-time scholarship, given annually to a qualified student in the Mississippi Valley Chapter assigned area, generally bounded by Bettendorf, Davenport, Burlington, De Witt, and Dubuque, Iowa; Rock Island, Moline, Sterling, Kewanee, Galesburg, and Monmouth, Illinois. Catherine Dunn Scholarship Fund www.dbqfoundation.org Provides financial assistance to minority students, with an emphasis on those of Hispanic descent, who demonstrate academic ability, good moral character, and financial need. Clarence Griep Scholarship Fund www.dbqfoundation.org Provides financial assistance to one graduating senior from each Dubuque County high school in memory of former University of Dubuque professor Clarence Griep. Preference given first on the basis of academic achievement, second on the basis of community involvment, and third on the basis of need. Clayton Ridge Dollars for Scholars www.dbqfoundation.org Makes postsecondary education possible for all students graduating from Clayton Ridge High School through scholarships and educational support. Nominees must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and not yet a high school graduate as of March 15, 2009. Each nominee must be nominated by someone age 21 years or older. Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarships www.hy-vee.com/company/scholarships/ Hy-Vee scholarships include $1,000 awarded to 40 high school seniors and $1,000 awarded to 40 college students - for a total of $80,000 awarded in scholarship monies. To be eligible to apply for a Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship, you may be pursuing any course of study but it must lead to a four-year college degree.
