What does a Technical Support Specialist do?
A Technical Support Specialist provides support for problem
and change tickets for client server support operations surrounding a specific infrastructure. This position assesses the situation to determine the end user’s problem. Problems are not routine or standardized and the creation of documentation explaining the solution to the problem is required. A Technical Support Specialist also responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support and documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
How do you prepare?
If you want to be a Technical Support Specialist, an associate’s degree and 0-2 years of experience in the field may be required.
