What does a Welder do?
A Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. This position interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process. A Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
How do you prepare?
If you want to be a Welder, a high school diploma is required. It’s also advisable to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training.
