What does a Estimator do?
An Estimator forecasts project costs, gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. This position considers raw materials, equipment, tools, labor and transportation for estimations. An Estimator helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints.

How do you prepare?
This position doesn’t necessarily require a bachelor's degree but you do need experience in the field or in a related area to get hired.

What’s the pay like?
As an Estimator in the Northeast Iowa region, you could take home around $1035.90 every two weeks. (Net paycheck estimate, www.salary.com)
